Pregnancy Daily Eating & Exercise
Pregnancy Daily Eating & Exercise
Hello Everyone! So sorry, I forgot to post this gem! I wrote this while I was pregnant. Better late then never in regards to posting!!
So many of you have been asking me what I am doing to stay healthy while pregnant!
I’m pretty much eating the same way I have been pre-pregnancy but with a few extra snacks- and portions are larger at times when need be.
During the week, Monday-Friday, I start my morning off with 8-10oz of water with Lemon, take Eli for a walk – if its not too hot I will either take him on a long walk 1.5-2 miles or if its too hot I’ll cut the walk short, but long enough for him to do his Business, LOL, and do 30 min of Pre-natal yoga at home. Sometimes I’ll change it up and do a Pre-natal Barre Youtube video or do some light handweights / low resistance bands etc.
Afterall I am a personal trainer, so I train myself :).
There are a TON of amazing youtube videos of Pre-natal workouts. Just make sure to check with your OBGYN before jumping into a new workout regimen. I would be happy to help any of my fellow Preggo friends out there either in person or via face-time, zoom, etc! Just let me know!
After my workout I take my Fruit, Veggie, and Fishless- Omega Capsules with 10-12 oz of water
(For more information on these little simple solutions, click on the Juice plus side banner or contact me for details)
Then I make a smoothie bowl! I love getting creative with these things- so I am picking/ tasting / eating the fruit and veggies I am adding them to my edible art!
Some days I’ll just make it and not decorate :). Just love eating smoothies out of a bowl with a spoon! Its like eating a massive healthy salad that tastes like icecream daily! love this stuff!!!!!
Usually I will add a bunch of different ingredients to my bowls that hold me over for a while! The Shake mix alone has 8grams of fiber- which definitely helps keep me satisfied!
(for more info on the yummy preggo safe shake mix click on the Juice plus side banner or contact me for details)
I will make 1 regular black nespresso espresso and 1 decaf nespresso espresso! Then I will fill up a large contigo water bottle with ice water and keep with me and fill it up throughout the day!
In the afternoon I will grab an organic piece of fruit, either an apple, pear, grapefruit, strawberries, blackberries, banana, or whatever delicious fruit I have around the house and a handful or 2 of Raw Organic Almonds!
closer to dinner time I will eat either organic vegetables or Marys Gone Crackers with Hummus
Sometimes I will sneak some of my husbands fruit and veggie chewables as well! Why not ? Extra yummy nutrients for the baby!
For Dinner I will always make a salad, consisting of greens either from my Tower which is super convenient ! or store bought if I’m running low or want something I didn’t start growing yet; I’ll add a handful of Raw organic almonds, walnuts, pecans, or hazelnuts; another veggie or 2 like carrots, cucumbers; fruit – berries and or an apple or pear chopped; last but not least I LOVE organic roasted chickpeas!
For dressing I will either make my own with Balsamic vinegar and spicy mustard , or just use lemon, or plain Balsamic vinegar! I Enjoy throwing roasted or sauteed veggies ontop of my salad- it totally replaces the need for extra olive oil or dressing! I may be weird, but I love tasting the actual veggies and lettuce of the salad!
Along with the Salad I will usually sautee some veggies, or roast them in the oven, and make either a bean or lentil pasta with sauce – either pesto, maranara, etc sometimes with scallops or shrimp on top normally theres so much protein in the pasta & veggies I don’t even need it!
Other meals consist of bean burgers, cauliflower creations, fish tacos, hummus sandwhich etc etc etc ( check out some of my healthy recipes for ideas!)
For dessert I will eat organic hazelnut butter with apple , cookie dough made out of my favorite shake mix, Or Purely Elizabeth Granola with Almond Milk and Fruit, etc, etc
If you have any questions please reach out!!
Best of Luck!!! xoxoxo
